This will be a District Program rather than a site based program. There will be one or two school sites that will offer the Transitional Kindergarten program. These sites have not yet been determined. Although it was recently announced that the funding for TK has been cut by the Governor, CCUSD will go ahead and offer the TK program next school year. However, depending on future funding, CCUSD may not be able to offer this program in the following years. The cut off date for enrolling in Kindergarten will be moved back by one month for the next three school years by the California Department of Education. In the past, students were able to enter Kindergarten if they turned five by December 2nd. In 2012-13, students must be five years old on or before November 1st to enroll in Kindergarten. Students with birthdays from November 2nd to December 2nd will enter the Transitional Kindergarten Program.
CCUSD will be offering Transitional Kindergarten parent meetings to provide parents with more information on Transitional Kindergarten.

Thursday, March 15, 2012, 9:00AM and 6:30PM, District Office Board Room, 4034 Irving Place

2/16/12 - 6/29/12 Culver City Residents by appointment only at the District Office.
